Letter to New Members from the Founders
Congratulations on joining the Onero Institute! We are very excited to have you on board and look forward to witnessing your growth and achievements. Please keep in mind that your actions as an individual also reflect on your role within the Onero Institute and the reputation of the organization as a whole. As such, we would like you to exercise extra caution when it comes to how you conduct yourself, especially in public, and when engaging in academic, professional, or other sensitive matters.
While there is a certain degree of separation between your identity as a student and as a member of the Onero Institute, it is a very thin one. Membership in the Onero Institute is dependent upon you remaining in favorable standing with your educational institution, and gives you no protection from the rules and regulations of your educational institutions, nor does it provide immunity from any local or national laws. Should you find yourself or others in situations that may potentially violate our Code of Conduct or values, please reach out to Human Resources. We would much rather help you work through a problematic situation or manage a misunderstanding, than find out from someone else later and be forced to punish or remove you.
Think of yourself like a member of a sports team. As an individual, we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to improve yourself and become the person you want to be. That being said, you no longer represent just yourself. You are a member of a greater organization with members and alumni all over the globe. We hope you will honor the efforts of your fellow members by adhering to our Code of Conduct and values at all times.
