Officially, the Onero Institute communicates via Email and Slack
Your team may have other informal ways of communication like group text messages and WhatsApp, but these are the main ways that official communications will reach you.
If you have not done so yet, please install Slack immediately. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with it, Slack is a team communication platform. You can think of it like another version of Microsoft Teams or a more professional-oriented version of Discord.
We have your email address already from your application. Please check that daily and respond to relevant emails at the same rate you would to a professor.
If for any reason your email changes, Slack stops working, or you will not be able to respond to communications promptly, please let HR and your director know as soon as you can.
Here is a table from the Member Guide that shows what types of communications will appear on Email and on Slack. We may not always adhere strictly to this chart, but it is a good reference for what happens most of the time.
